creditor claims in Nevada probates

Creditor claims in probate are generally governed by NRS Chapter 147 and provides a mechanism for creditors of the decedent to have their claims considered and possibly paid by the estate.

The legal representative has a duty to publish and mail notices to creditors.  The method by which notice is given is described in NRS  155.020.  The time limit for filing a claim may vary and is governed by NRS  147.040 and must be consulted.  However, the general rule is that  claim must be made within 90 days.
